I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
