The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can expect finding out which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
